I picked up a couple of those plugs for the safety holes at Ace Hardware today. They fit perfectly and look pretty nice!
Brian - in regards to chrony nightmares...Not my pic, but this helped me earlier this year when i was having lighting issues with my chrony:The idea is the 'tube-o-white' gives you a multi-source reflective light from a single source. I used an LED shop light, and this worked for me.
I guess we got excited about this gun too soon.It is a chinese gun after all. And consistency is not one of their primary attributes.I am wondering how are the guys that purchased the second generation are doing with their rifles. Sticking with CO2 might be the best route to get something out of this rifle.

Sticking with CO2 might be the best route to get something out of this rifle.I'm getting mine tomorrow and I for one am still excited. I always figured on bulk CO2 as a backup. Would still be a great price. I think most buyers understood this was intended as a project gun, not a finished product. A chrony is a must have.... Says the guy doesn't have one. Haha! Spent too much on CF tanks. Chrony will have to wait.
(Posted to clean up other thread)I unboxed it... I whipped it all down... I cleaned the barrel... I removed it front he stock and found the lock nut for the power adjust was flopping around in the stock. Everything adjusted.. One thing I see and do not like is the attachment bolts...One in the very back and one in the front at the barrel band. Well it looks like the bedding is not good so I will need to adjust as the action is being bent when you tighten the screws down and it effects POI. Easily fixed with some proper bedding, but I am not at all complaining at this price pint and the accuracy potential. Its a one hole shooter on my short basement range!!I removed the front and rear sites and mounted a Hawke 3x9 sport in UTG med rings. Then mounted the LDC and set the new target up... THREE SHOTS and it was sited!!! 18.13g JSB's. Ill try others later. No chrony yet either...maybe tomorrow depending on temps. Now a couple pics... As I opened the box:Front site and fill port:Rear site:Loading port:I mounted my Hawke scope:Med UTG rings are almost perfect height!!I shot a couple dozen shots...seems about 15 or so dropped the pressure 500K. I LIKE IT THANK YOU MIKE!!!!I Had the chance to throw a couple 19g pellets over the screens. Little less than I hopped, but not to shabby and I have not tuned anything yet!CW
Awesome, Brian. I'm actually surprised it was that accurate with a monster at 65 yards. Congrats on the squirrel.
I am envious Brian, I walked six miles of logging trails last Saturday looking for that squirrel's cousin to no avail. But I did manage to bag several tin cans!
