Go to a local lake or river and find out. Do this at sunrise or sunset when the water is calm. Toss a stick 20-30 yds out and take a few shots. You will get the initial splash then watch for the next splash farther out. Kind of like skipping rocks.

The pellet, as I understand, is potential to over 200 yards with many of today's A/Gs.
I think everyone has beat mine. But here is a warning ... I bought one of those spinning "self-sealing" gopher targets. Great fun with a .22 RF but it just zings an AG pellet right back at you. My experience was 25 yds. but it was stopped by the aluminum siding.
