Am trying to help and steer towards pertinent information, My experience with the product is very minimal being it has only been talked about and used in the AG realm to best of my knowledge just this 2013 year ...
Threads others have posted on the web would agree ... CLEAN of every last trace of conventional petroleum based lube is paramount !!
IMO we have gotten OFF TRACK here being OP was speaking of Thrust bearing ( Brass) wear. This particular subject has much data where bearing bronzes and such excel. Lubrication of such bearing is well handled with conventional greases/oils.

they're just settling in....they probably weren't perfectly flat when new... they are wear mating...
in the first 400 shots after washers were put in mine I had to adjust it twice, which was cool as it taught me just how light of a torque the gun preferred for that adjustment.... blue Loctite is a definite need on that bolt...
steel washers are a cheap and easy way to ruin your receiver by wearing it instead of the washers..

Krytox (PFPE) is good stuff, I just don't use it on metal to metal wear points like the pivot washers. I went the cheap route as well with the brass washers from Ace Hardware. I only used a small amount of moly grease on them and re-tighten along with lock tight once after 100 or so pellets. It's been holding up fine and I think Iam well over 4 tins of pellets by now.
I only use the PFPE grease in small amounts on the piston seal and combustion chamber. PFPE grease performs best (imho) when there is a plastic and metal contact where a lubricant is needed in an environment that requires a non-hydrocarbon lubricant ( no dieseling ).
As for accuracy with no bull - I was shooting 10 shot grouping at 15 yards that were dime sized and streteched the np's leg at 45 yard with approximately 2 inch groups using 5.53 ftt's.
