This 1991 commemorative edition seemed to go all of the sudden, it was shooting pretty good , then I picked it up later and the pump arm had nothing. It just needs a new seal and pump cup I think. These little guns, and this particular variant, seem to have a lot of really small pieces, and a high parts count. Getting everything pieced back together, and closing the thing back up out to be a real challenge.
I would like to put the same brass valve back in, just need to find a replacement exhaust valve. These guns remind me of some of my pistols I've rebuilt.

I found this videos helpful. Look up 18 year old Crosman 760 YouTube and you will find the video.

I own one of those.. Its pretty much still new... I use my new modded plastic one to shoot. It shouldn't be too bad, putting back together... If you are talking about the brass valve stem, It can be rebuilt with a little viton O-ring. Try not to scratch up the brass valve stem when removing the old sealing material for best seal results...

I re-assembled the thing to get the sequence down for when I get the seals. This is an odd gun, it's 24 years old but the quality is not that of the early ones. The bolt is an all plastic piece, if you shot it a lot, it would surely break. Fitting everything back together is like setting a mouse trap, the hammer spring end cap is also plastic, and utilizes one of the receiver screws to hold it in place. If you re-seal yours, watch for the one fake screw in the receiver it looks pretty real.

I'll remember that about the fake screw... Yea, some guns assemble like playing a game of perfection... One paricular gun that I own, didn't want to go together until I decided to go at it again three days later..
I haven't had that problem before or ever since.. Knock on wood.. I think it may have had somthing to do with (no I wasn't drinking) the extra slick lube I used on it.. Nothing wanted to stay put....

760 rebuild complete. Also did a complete re-seal of an older 140, and man does that thing crack loud now! both fun projects. Both these may end up with my friend's boys, and I didn't want them to get wimpy guns from me
