I just had to buy another gun, I couldn't help myself. After discovering I couldn't come up with the funds for a Diana 34 I figured my best option was a 95 in .25. The price at Wing Supply was about as much as I could swing so I went for it. This is my first .25 and I plan on using it for most of my small game hunting this year. I am wondering what those of you with a .25 Hatsan have found to be your best shooting pellet. I addition to the pellets that come with the gun(Hatsan Vortex Supreme 19.91) I have ordered some H&N Baracuda 31.02

I've had great luck with those Vortex 19.91 domes in my 95QE Vortex 25... I get decent groups, about an inch for my mediocre skill with open sights at 20 yards.
However, at the short ranges I'm shooting for pest control (under 15 yards), the H&N Crow Magnums hit like an Estwing framing hammer. The impact on tree-rats sounds like I'm shooting domes at plywood.
I've been looking at getting some Grizzlies, the Eun Jin 31 grain domes, and the JSB Heavies. I can live with chunky/lumbering pellets if there's lots of mass.

H&N Crow Magnums work well in my 135/.25 & 100X/.25. I limit my pest shooting to 30 yds or less and they are accurate and hard hitting at that range. For the lower power 1000X/.25 I use the 20gr Vortex or H&N FTT's (same pellet).

What kind of fall off are you seeing beyond thirty yards with your twenty five caliber guns?

That`s not too bad. I try to get close when hunting but sometimes you have opportunities for longer shots. I was torn between the .25 and the .22. Since I have three .22s I figured the twenty five was the way to go. Been kind of second guessing myself but two and a half at forty yards should be something I can live with.

Mine seems to like the JSB King Diabolo 25.39gr and the H&N Crow Magnum a little more than anything else and the Crows at the 30 or less I shoot demolish whatever they hit.
Keep me posted, I'm curious to see what works out well in yours.

I`ll be happy to do that. Looks like the sale at wing is over so I got in just under the wire. Didn`t save that much compared to that crazy price on the 100x but it is still the least I have seen the 95qe for. I liked the integrated barrel even if it isn`t that much quieter.

My 95QE is sorta loud, but down-range, I know if I shoot from my spare bedroom through the window, the Mourning Doves don't flinch until the squirrel gets knocked off the feeders. The barrel reduces downwind noise a lot.

Back_Roads, I am glad to hear that. Predator Polymags are a favorite of mine in 22 caliber and I was hoping they work in the 95.

JSB exact diabolo 25gr are most accurate from my model 95 .25
Followed by JSB 34gr, followes by H&N coppa-spitzkugel
All other pellets are inaccurate, grizzlies being the worst
