Here's an update on the .30cal carnivor. Since I had it fixed it still chronys at 565fps with 44.75g and 535fps with 50.15g JSB pellets. Still super accurate. I really love this gun!!! After cocking this beast my other guns feel like toys.
I can get about 15 shots before I use 2 hands but bye that time I put it down for awhile. I'm almost through my 3rd tin and it's still shooting well over 560fps. This gun is really something else!!! I love my chrony. Don't know what I'd do without it. (I'd be shooting broken guns). Lol
Saw a guy on Youtube putting some WD40 in the skirt of the pellet to make the rifle dieseling, which seems to give some serious extra power. Without dieseling he only shot a big deep dent in a steel propane tank. With dieseling it went through it.Any info yet on tuning the Vortex for some extra velocity or is this a no go with gas rams.
I guess it's only bad for the seal ring, not the other parts of the rifle.
I wonder what the deal is with some people reporting only getting 500-520 fps with this rifle. It's not just one guy, i see more in certain consumer reviews on other websites. All have a leakin Vortex or too much grease in the barrel?@Old corps, thanks!

All have a leakin Vortex or too much grease in the barrel?@Old corps, thanks! From what I've picked up reading this forum and one or two others + my own personal experience with the gun AND Hatsan Customer Service, sad to say, it appears things with Hatsan have not changed.Mine was also a spring gun they factory-convert to gas ram. They ream a big fill hole and charge the ram, metal shavings let behind from doing that destroy the seal later on.If you buy, shoot the snot out of it and return before the warranty runs out! They assured me they would fix my pile-of-parts gun, but just ignored me instead. For Hatsan's I'd recommend spring ONLY i.e. model 95, or forget warranty and change the seal BEFORE shooting it.Unfortunately for me, the locking pin bore looks like it was hand-drilled by a 3 year old. No point in bothering to reassemble a factory-trashed gun Hopefully the OP's replacement was reworked before they sent it out! I'm sticking with my Daisy 880 for now...
