Sheridan C9A or CB9

Recently I saw a NIB Sheridan C9A at a very strange store and knowing that Crosman was dropping the .20 I bought it on an impulse. After doing some looking around I see that there are still a few new .20's to be had but they are the CB9.
What are the differences between the two? I may pickup another for my son.
Thanks,
Thomas

If I'm not mistaken it was like this;
CB was all the rockers, thumbers etc.
CB9 was early transitional packed in lead.
CB9PA was late transitional. Slip in valve. Both transitionals used the same trigger, bolt and hammer package with [push pull safty
CB9A is what they have now but that has ghone from Walnut to Sycamore?. Slip in valve and Safety on the gaurd.
Silver streaks drop the B fro model designation.
To confuse the actions were never marked with the B as that designated balck and whehn the markings were stamped the Guns could still be a black or chromed gun. Just like an E or H pistol is stamped before it was chromed or painted/blacked and only chrome guns are actually E/H's and all else is EB/HB cause it is painted or blacked somehow.
C/E/H means silver.
Now you know TOO MUCH!

After Crosman purchased Benjamin Sheridan they made the C9, and C9A 20 Cal Sheridan models. The C9 has a soldered in intake valve guide and the C9A has a compression chamber that can be removed without a special tool. The first C9A models had a tang safety with walnut stocks . The last models had the safety in the trigger guard with a hard wood stock. The Sheridan 20 Cal model is not shown in the Crosman 2013 catalog. The Benjamin 17 and 22 caliber pump up models were still listed in the 2013 Crosman catalog. Paint must be removed from the muzzle end of the 17, 20, and 22 caliber barrels to get any accuracy . One can see the differences of the models by going to the Crosman web site that list the parts for the rifles. I have Benjamin Mdl 312, and 342 22 caliber , Sheridan Rocker Safety 5 MM/ 20 Cal, Crosman C9 tang safety, three C9A Tang Safety, and two C9A Safety in the trigger guards 20 caliber pump up air rifles. The Benjamin 342, Sheridan Rocker Safety 20 caliber, and the Crosman C9 20 caliber are the most accurate of the pump up air rifles I have.
