Title: Tuning a Benjamin trail NP.....
Post by: redsoxvw on August 09, 2010, 02:26:40 PM
I installed my GRTIII in yesterday (Thanks BOB) ;D, and Im starting have some fun with it. Im curious on what the tuning options are on the Nitro rifles.

The way I see, Id like to make this rifle the best it could possibly be. If anyone could point me in any direction for some good reading in regards to tuning a Nitro rifle it would be GREATLY appreciated.

I dont mind doing extensive reading, and really enjoy working on my own projects........Thanks again all.............Eric

I did a full review and tune on the Trail NP. You can improve the performance and life of the gun. Just a few mods and you are set.

How do you determine which piston seal or even if a after-market seal is available for your model gun?  Looking for seal Info on the Benjamin NP XL 1500 .177.  No luck so far.

When you do get your seal, make sure you you use a piece of soda can to protect the seal from the threads for the end cap. Also, there's a number of posts with info. about tuning and getting the end cap off with information that you're going to want. Make sure you order some moly when you order the seal, you will need it. I'm sure some of the guys can give you the exact threads.
