I got my Phantom last year and have been having a blast shooting targets and eliminating varmints.
I added a GRT III trigger and a nice scope. Now I'm wondering if it's worth investing $100 in a tune?
Is that over kill with this AG?
I'm also going to buy a Discovery or Marauder soon. (sold a cub cadet lawn tractor) Will either of these be quieter than the springer? And will they work well out of the box or need some immediate mods?

You will not see a full $ return, if you decide to sell it and it is such an inexpensive gun. Only you can decide if it is worth it to you.
The Marauder is quieter and shoots well out of the box. The Disco is louder, but can't comment on out of the box performance.
The Disco is a great beginners platform for learning and highly modifiable. I wish I gotten one before the M-rod. Luckily I only lost $20 selling it, after the dust settled.

the disco with ppump is a good starting point. Accurate needs a tko if noise is an issue, cheap easy mod on the trigger and your golden!

RatRacer: Are you saying the Disco is louder than the springer or louder than the Marauder?

It is louder.... unless a TKO muzzle break is used.
The marauder has one built in.
Springers, most noise comes from the action not the muzzle, the Disco will be louder at the muzzle.
