having issues getting my m417 dialed in, other then going through a dozen diff pellets to see what it likes which i have, what can be done to try and improve accuracy, cut & crown, clean and polish the barrel, bolt probe mod, any suggestions are appreciated, btw its seems to like super h-point and super point but id like to stack pellets at 10 meters, i know long shot lol

Hmm, good question. If you can, I say return it for another. I've read lots about M417's and haven't really heard of anyone complain of bad accuracy at 10 yards. The mods you listed will definitely help. The bolt probe mod will help almost ever bolt action pumper.

one thing to consider...this guns plastics flex while pumping.meaning if scoped....your cross hairs may not always return to the same poa.
a few thousands off on the crosshairs, could equal upto 1/2 inch or more at 10 yards.
ive made very few 1 hole groups with my m417.
most groups are a dime, few nickles at 10 using cphp's.
im happy with that.
the barrel is a bb/pellet combo....so i dont expect much better than dime groups.
just my opinion.

I have had one for about two weeks not good groups with any pellets.
After I shot about 150 pellets it got a little better. So I decided to look at the crown.
Did not pass the q tip test so I re crowned it now it's only draw back is the trigger.
If I stay steady and control the trigger it's will stack em.
After doing more pellet testing it loves crosman pointed pellets go figure.
Next is a trigger mod and a flat top piston and valve from mellon.

Both of my M417s shoot almost any pellet very good you might have a defect i would return it. I have shot one of them almost every day since i got it and that's when they first came out and still shooting fine.

Try the q tip test on your crown. Insert it a bit, then twist it. If you see any cotton being pulled off, your crown is to blame for the bad groups. You could try recrowning it yourself or return it for another.
