I know I have seen it on here somewhere but I cannot seem to find it. Can anyone show me the directions to changing the hammer spring in the Disco?

Remove action from stock, remove the rear trigger group screw, while holding the rear cap securely (its under some pressure from the hammer spring), remove the screw on the top rear of the breech, ease ur hand away from the action to let the tension of the hammer spring out..
Pull old spring out, slide new spring in, push the rear cap back into place and hold it there while you tighten the screw from the top rear of the breech back down.. then put the trigger group rear screw back in and tighten it down..
remount the action back in the stock and ur good to go

Push safety retaining spring end forward and remove safety.
Remove stock.
Remove lower and upper rear plug screws and rear plug will come out. Spring change and reassemble
I always use factory hammer springs.
They can be assisted slightly by fitting a 392 spring guide so the spring stays inline with the shallow hammer hole and doesn't try to get sideways.
I've always found spring changes in the hammer area to be the last choice for generating more punch as it almost always adversley affects trigger pull.
There are far more elegant solutions that address efficiency of the mass in motion rather than rely on blunt force.
When someone really wants to stand on it the Power Prep and breech seal will flow enuf air to make nearly 30 fpe using the factory hammer spring and valve. No changes except barrel porting, transfer port seal and hammer spring guide. Most of Crosmans designs use the trasfer port seal as the primary restriction point to throttle the volume and by just opening that up and making the transition to the barrel less restrictive we can make all the power we need.
Shot count suffers but the pressure map remains nearly the same as stock since springing hasn't been altered a great deal.
Most Discos with the Accuracy prep and spring guide will go a little faster then factory guns by 30-40 fps. The Power prep adds another 60-75 fps pushing 18.1's into the mid to high 800's.

Thanks guys.
Interesting. I have ready many posts were folks have got some really decent power gains and I don't recall anyone complaining about their trigger pulls. Is it a significant difference?
I was under the impression that changing the hammer spring is the easiest way to get extra power out of a Disco (when pumping it up to ~2,400 psi.

The trigger pull isn't effected by hammer springs, however cocking will get a little hard due to the stronger spring.
For the triggers you can do the 2 or 3 screw trigger mod or upgrade to the mrod trigger

Thanks Mike - that is what I had read elsewhere. It is strange to me that that there is conflicting information out there..... guess I will see for myself.
I did the two screw mod already - so far I like it better......

I also did the two screw mod. Much better. Where can I get a heavier hammer spring ? And do I need to de pressure it before doing this mod? I only shoot jsb18.1 pellets but I have the stock hammer spring. It shoots very accurate now but will the new spring help or is that only for power?
Thanks
Bryan

The hammer spring is mostly for power. Accuracy could change for the better or worse depending on a lot of factors - but I suspect will remain about the same (as long as you do not push a lighter pellet too fast).
rsterne sells them for $10 shipped. He can provide you with tons of information on them. You should see about 29 FPE and nearly the same shot count as you do now, if you pump your disco up to ~2,400 psi.
