Bottle brush de-pinger?

I found a video on You Tube that described the dynamics within the air tube that cause the ping in air rifles. He also said that he has discovered the perfect DIY de-pinger. He uses a baby bottle brush with the handle and sponge trimmed off, inserted about half way into the air chamber. He claims that it virtually eliminates the ping, and has very little air displacement. Does anybody else have any experience with this type of de-pinger? I'm looking to try it in my Bam B50. Thanks tons!

Yea I seen the same video. Was wondering myself if it actually was a smart altternative to the rubber or vinyl hose.

I've considered using this version of a depinger. But 2 things have detered me from going ahead with it. Firstly I seriously feel it has the potential to move in the reservoir eventually, especially if the rifle its in gets a lot of jostling around in the field. Secondly i believe that eventually those plastic bristles will begin break up and bits & pieces of bristles will be able to get into a guns valve or tp or somewhere else that it may cause a problem.
I am not saying i know these things will happen. Just that its a concern i have with the concept. If someone would like to try it to put my concerns to rest that'd be just fine.
