I am a pumper nut. Wouldn't know what to do without one.A Crosman 760 or Recruit would be easier to pump than the M4-177 due to the large size of the M4 forearm. I know some people find it difficult to hold onto it.The advise about holding the rifle the proper way while pumping is good too. I would hate to put a regular rifle scope on a Benji or Sheridan because of that. I think a red dot or pistol scope scout style (forward mount) is great, even on 1377. One hand on the pump lever, one hand on or just in front of the receiver. Work it like you would hedge clippers with the muzzle pointing up. I even do this with my 1377's. Holding by the pistol grip is a pain. Here's my 1377 carbine with a scout mounted Leapers red dot...When/if you decide to get a Benji there are some easy valve mods that will make the thing easier to pump.
