I've been knocking it down between coats thinned with mineral spirits. The photo was taken after three consecutive coats of straight Tru Oil without sanding between. I may want to leave some of the grain so it has the look and feel of wood. Won't really know when I'm done until I get there. There's no deadline to finish this, there's enjoyment in the journey, not just the destination.
