Most of the PCP air rifles you mentioned (Daystate, FX, Airforce, Edgun, BSA, Air Arms, Marauder) are capable of 1 inch or less groups @ 100 yds, in the hands of a good shooter, with proper ammo and good conditions. Shooting 1 inch groups consistently @ 100 yds or more, IMO, is no easy task. The slightest wind (or misjudgement of it), pellet differences or shooter error can throw a pellet off considerably @ 100 yds. Spring/gas guns, because of their recoilling nature, would be harder to shoot at those long of ranges, but it can be done. I think the biggest factor is the human behind the trigger all things being equal. Most high end PCP (and even some not so high end) have good quality barrels. Next I would say ammunition is the next biggest factor. I think with plenty of practice and patience, you'll see the group sizes shrink over time as you learn to shoot long range. As far as which rifles are best, I think is debateable and many times boils down to personal preferences. Nathan
