I just got my .177 Rabbit Magnums in the mail and they won't fit in my barrel. Are you supposed to hammer them in?
At least 8 other pellet brands and types fit fine.

I'm shooting the Camo Rocket IGT from Gamo. The Rabbit Magnum's are listed as 4.5 but my 4.52 JSB's fit perfectly in my breech. All of the pellets I've tried have fit except these slugs. Maybe the skirt on the other pellets are thin enough that they just conform under the pressure of my thumb. The skirts on the RM's are much thicker and stiffer. Just guessing.

are you sure they're .177 and not .20 pellets. They could have put the wrong pellets in the tin

The body and head of the pellet are 4.5mm and the skirt(if that's what you call it) is 4.65mm. I tried pushing a pellet in but it took substantial force. I was afraid to fire it and used a plastic rod to push it back out. They are just too darn big for my .177.

Just found the quote below in a review. H&N should stop selling these or put a correct skirt size on the tin.
"What others should know:These required the use of a seating tool to insert into the breech of the bore on an RWS P5 springer. When shot, these did not even clear the bore, they had to be removed from the barrel with the use of a ram-rod. (My micro indicated an aver. skirt dia. of .1842 in. - for what that's worth."

I've never seen a gun that these pellets perform well out of.
