Did you use electrical tape or really large heat shrink to seal off the sides?
I would be interested to see if there is a performance difference between the electrical tape and a more ridged material. You can see the tape "puff" on a shot with mine. Will have to look for an appropriate piece of heat shrink at an appropriate price.Hmmm, I think I have some automotive chrome tape left. It is darn near solid compared to the foil HVAC tape.Another tip. beware dry firing with the compensator attached. at some point you sill send the end cap (at a minimum) flying.ask how i know. CW knows it as well.

Why is it that we find out what not to do after we double load the pcp and shred the baffles or blow the o-ring off of the bolt after the fact when we do not lock the bolt or many other AG goofs

Why not try a delrin valve stem from mountain air?
Contact Roy Weid at Mountain Air and get a delrin qb stem for $10. You will never look back. Increased performance and undeniable reliability ask Al "Airgunwarriors" he has one I installed in his #9 FD-PCP
CW,Can you please share some pictures of the new and improved valve that you bought from Mike? The reason I am asking is because I am thinking about buying the same valve from Mike but wanted to see what it looks like first.I think that the valve is the Achilles heel for our beloved FD PCP rifles. Mine has some completely different issues and I have not been able to figure out what needs to be done to fix my problems.
