I can only get the trigger pull down to just under 5lbs by adjusting it. Is there a mod or replacement for the trigger?
I'm not sure we are looking at the same setup. Below is what my trigger looks like and it's quite a bit different. The manual that came with my gun looks more like your picture which is why I am confused. As nice as your write up is I'm pretty novice and it might take me a while to figure it out but it makes it even more difficult when I'm not looking at what you have described. The front of my gun is indicated by the red arrow. There are 2 flathead screws "behind" the trigger and an Allen screw underneath the safety that points towards the back of the gun. Below are a couple pictures the first is just a closer crop of the second.
Yes Jeff this is the diagram in the manual that came with the gun but it is not the same as the gun that came in the box. The adjustment screws on the gun are behind the trigger and not in front of the trigger as this diagram shows. I imagine the screw length will work the same on the adjustment screws behind the trigger, thanks for the suggestion. I just wish somebody knew what screw is the first stage and what screw is the 2nd stage on the adjustment screws Behind the trigger.
The screw length was the issue, they were just not long enough. I went to the hardware store and got some longer screws and now I'm able to adjust it to wherever I want. I had them both all the way in with the stock screws and the pull was too heavy and the travel was too long. I can see why they don't provide longer screws because with long enough screws you can adjust it to where it is not safe and it can be dangerous. From the manufacturer's perspective I can see why they don't provide screws long enough to do this.BTW for anyone else doing this if you pull the trigger pivot pin be VERY careful not to lose the "safety ball" it is spring loaded, very small and pops out easily when you lift up the safety lever. After adjustments I'm extremely happy with this trigger now. It's about 2-3lbs pull and the travel can be adjusted to however you want it. Just be careful if you adjust the travel to be too much of a hair trigger. Like Jeff says make sure you Bump Test after adjusting to make sure it doesn't fire to easily. Thank you everyone for all of your help, I would not have accomplished this otherwise...
