Help!! Turkish Patriot .22 Piston / Cocking lever failure

Hi Folks
Has anyone got any dimensional, or modification info on the Turkish Webley patriot ? mine has let go on the engagement point of the piston edge and cocking lever end, allowing it to release the piston at about two thirds spring compression, with deafening, and alarming severity!, also it appears that the sudden slam down of the barrel, when the spring pressure released, has bent the trigger stop/push plate (see photos).
I stripped it last night, and pulled the stock from a UK patriot (loaned to me - but hopefully soon to be mine), next to it, to compare, obviously the guns are completely different in the piston /lever departments, at least, (obviously it also needs a main-seal now so are these all the same or do i need to bore gauge the cylinder?).
the turk has another set of slots & faces machined on the other piston slide, so i assume i can simply rotate the piston to use the "spare set" so to speak ??.
The piston sliding faces clearance to the cylinder ID is quite sloppy, but not worn, i think just poor tolerances, (about a 0.5mm .020"clearance), this combined with maybe not good materials selection/finishing of both the piston and cocking lever end have lead to this event.
One other thing i noted was that the British gun has, apart from a much beefier cocking lever, got a small roll pin acting as extra locating assistance to the "shoe"portion that pushes the piston, to restrict the slop in the slot, that must be a worthwhile mod on the Turk??, the British gun is at least 10 years older, has had a hard life, but shows no signs of wear, and operates Beautifully by comparison.
(sorry about photo quality - light was lacking and Macros with flash are shrouded by the lense!)
The major edge wear visible in the first piston pic is from the sear release engagement, loading slot edge is similar
Any info greatly received

The piston you can just rotate & use the other side. But check the sear as well, it may be worn to the point it's slipping & if thats the case it'll need replacing
But that cocking foot looks properly rounded, not sure how you'd fix that.
