I have searched and can't seem to find the answer. My at44 in 22cal in a few days. It is not the long version. Can't seem to find info on what pellets this gun likes. Have some crosman premier domed and am wondering if they will work good or if I need to get something heavier for better accuracy. Thanks for the help fellas!

my AT 44 loves the crosman premier ultra mags and the crosman hollow points. I would not buy expensive pellets until I tried all the cheaper crosman pellets. I got JSB pellets and they did not shoot better

You will have to test different pellets to see which works best. I've tried the JSB, Beemans and Crosmans. The Crosmans & JSBs seem to work better.

I have the same gun. I have posted videos of a few pellet test. If you plan on taking game then the JSB 18.13gr , also the Logun Penetrators 20.5gr.... I have some Defiant pellets 18gr coming today. But the JSB gives me an avg of 900fps, and the Loguns gives me a avg of 870fps @ 20.5gr thats 34.4ftlb very nice pellet. but are no longer in the USA, so im hoping that the Defiant pellets works the same ... they are not cheap, but my things is why buy a $100,000 car and put in cheap gas.

There seems to be no going wrong with JSB pellets as long as you get heavy enough ones, I will test for myself once my at44 qe .22 comes back from Hatsan (I did probably the stupidest thing you could do and overadjusted the trigger, knowing full well that's how most Hatsan PCPs seem to go from new to refurbished)

I have three pellets that shoot very well, the best is the 20.5gr Loogun Penetrators, then the JSB 18.13gr only because I have not tried the Defiant 18gr as of yet, just got them in today. I will do a video review of the three from 35, 50,and 100 Yards. Here are the pellets from left to right. Logun, Defiant, JSB

I have the long qe version. It shoots the kodiak 21gr pellets the best. The next is the jsbs. The jsbs is what I shoot the most just because I have the most of them. I have no problem taking feathered freinds out to 65 yards is the farthest so far. I'm saving the kodiaks to do some hog hunting.

Thank you very much for the info. I ordered the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums when I ordered my scope (Amazon prime). Mainly got them because of the price and some people have some luck with them. From the post here it seems the gun may want a heavier pellet for better accuracy. I will get some of these downrange and break in the gun. I'm comming off a nitro piston that seemed to hate avery pellet and every person that shot it. Got fed up with the "Artilary Hold" and finicky holding quirks of the break barrel guns. I like to have friends shoot my equipment and got tired of telling them they have to hold it a certain way. Took my enjoyment out of shooting to be honest.
I will grab some of the Jsb exact heavy pellets to test out as well. I enjoy reading everyones experiences so keep em coming.

Don't overlook the Crosman ultras they shoot well in many airguns. I have to turn down the power in my Sumatra but they shoot as well as the JSBs at 25 yards which is what my backyard range is. I'm able to make one ragged hole with them at about 1020 fps.

Thanks again fellas. At44 is on the brown truck heading to my door today. I'm all giddy w excitement. Looking at big scuba tank, scope, pellets, fill adapter and other goodies for the past 4 days has been torture.
