I don't fix air rifles, but did have warranty service on my Striker 1000x Vortex a few months ago for tsomething that might have been the same issue. The gas piston was defective, lost pressure I guess, and I would fire it 5 or 6 times before it would dislodge a pellet. It would make a really abnormal sound whenever the pellet didn't fire. It also was much easier to cock than it was early on. This was after only about 800 shots. Any of that sound familiar? Is it under warranty? Hatsan USA were certainly good about fixing the problem promptly once I sent it back.Good luck with this.Dennis Still under warranty. Thanks
Just to add to their credit. The Hatsan USA service Team who is doing the warranty repair work is an excellent division. I just found that the barrel on my model 135 in .177 was defective. They gave me instructions on where to send the rifle. I sent it along with a request for a 22 cal. barrel if possible. They did have a 22 cal. barrel. They also repaired the rifle flawlessly and timely. The only thing holding those guys up was the mail! Great Team, Great Service, good group. They have all my respect and future business also. I am fully confident in buying from Hatsan again knowing that if it isn't 100% correct, it will be after they're done. They have my full recommendation.
Is Mike able to get a hold of the Vortex gas piston for replacement of those if they wear out? I'm expecting these all eventually to need to be replaced, hopefully long after they are out of warranty. Has anyone in the US successfully gotten a hold of replacement Vortex gas pistons? I don't see them available on the Hatsan USA website. Dennis

Even when I forget that I left a pellet in the chamber for a couple days.https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-nitro-piston-conversion-fits-walther-falcon-hunter-talon?a=2353Be Well,Gator
As long as we are both reading, I read the air ram Vortex is not producing the power or the longgivity of the NP engines.Plus PA, if they have not stopped, installs the Nitro Piston included in the $100.I have never shoot a Vortex, With that said I have 9 months of powerful trouble free shooting with the NP success .https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-nitro-piston-conversion-fits-walther-falcon-hunter-talon?a=2353Be Well,GatorIf it aint broke, dont fix it, lol.
