when i go to sight in the gun it is maxed out vertically as well as maxed to the side as well i tried shimming the front with a credit card in between the weaver rails to help the vertical it helped but not a whole bunch so i put a couple more in there in the front but it's not quite enough i know i can probably get an adjustable scope mount but does that work for the side to side and would i need two of them? sum good suggestions would really help it's grouping good just not where I want it!

I exchanged my first trail Np for just that reason. The new rifle still had a bad scope. Crosman sent me a new one, no charge, and told me to throw the old one away. Check the rifle with a known good scope. If it checks out then call Crosman for a replacement. There's no way to fix one as bad as yours.

If the pellets are hitting low, then you would shim the back of the scope.
If the pellets were hitting high then you would shim the front of the scope.
An adjustable mount for windage and verticle will help correct the problem

Have you tried turning the rings around? Have had this fix the left/right issue in the past. As for the vertical sounds like the barrel is drooping too much. Maybe that you got one that as a bad angle of the breech face, some guys on here have reported filing the angle down to ensure correct alignment. Personally I'd just return the gun and let Crosman fix it.

Could be the scope rail is welded on erroneously.
Return for replacement would be my option.
I have a Trail that has/had NO issues whatsoever.

Make sure the scope is rated for heavy to magnum springer air rifles. Many of the standard air rifle rated scopes can't handle the sharp forward recoil of the gas rams.
