For those with nicks and dings in the gloss paint job on your shroud or just want it a little less shiny, here's a suggestion.
Mine aquired several scars and scratches, so I decided to try something. I bought some Rustoleum Satin Black Primer.
Sanded the old gloss off and really smoothed her out. Cleaned it with denatured then started spraying. First a really light, almost invisible coat. Then several more 'til I had a smooth rich finish. The shine is gone, it looks almost like the blue on the gun and absolutely NO scratches or dings in several months of wear. Give it a try!

Ken,
That looks nice. Yea, I kind of don't know why Crosman went with a glossy black look on the shroud. Mine is appropriately dinged and scratched up, so I guess I'm getting some flat black rustoleum primer when I go to Home Depot in the morning.
Thanks for the idea.

I picked up some 3M vinyl wrap to do the same thing to my shroud, just never got around to it. Very nice looking
