Ed, if you are shooting to verify barrel consistency. Use a known good scope and do NOT adjust the scope. Shoot for groups, not bullseye. Sight at the smallest target spot possible. Use a marker to make a 1/8" or so dot for a sighting reference. Then shoot 5 good shots. If you know a bad shot was you, discount it and fire another one. If this gets acceptable groups, it's the scope. If the shots are still all over the place, call Crosman for a return UPS label.
Well thanks for the update, frustrating for sure but at least you got some good groups out of it. Have you by any chance tried Crossman Premier domes? My gun did not like the hollow points either and it does not shoot JSB's, H&N's or Beeman Kodiaks as well as the Crossman premier domes. This kind of bummed me out because I was hoping it would like a heavier pellet. I soon came to terms that it just flat out likes Crossman premier domes and RWS superdome in 14.5grn, just the way its going to be I guess. I will check back and see if it likes the other heavier after 1,000 pellets or so. I have a bunch of Crossman premier domes and RWS Superdomes, do you want me to put 20 of each in the mail for you Ed?
