The webley patriot you mentioned is a lot more $$ than $175. Also, it's very heavy, about 11lbs scoped. The recoil will eat most scopes except for most expensive durable ones. It will be VERY hold sensitive and bench shooting is a real challenge. This beast is twangy and loud ! Also, it's among the most powerful springers there is at about 29 foot lbs of energy. Recently shot and kill a coupe raiding fox right behind the shoulder with .22 cal 18.13gr domed JSBs. Getting back to hold sensitivity, I sight-in from a kneeling elbow to knee position, resting the fore end on a open left palm, at the same time snugging the butt into my shoulder, this position replicates most of my hunting shots. Sooo, as an alternative, I'd suggest calling Mike at Flying Dragons and ask about his Diana 34 clone. Much lighter, very smooth shot cycle, quiet and accurate. It's not nearly as hold sensitive, and much easier on scopes. Also, it's much less expensive than the Diana, and has more power than you need. Hope this helps some. Joe
How does the Terrus compare to the model 34?
