Title: How to stop CO2 pistol from leaking
Post by: Zelph on May 01, 2013, 11:37:36 AM
Have a Crosman .357 model CO2 pistol. Just sitting it loses its CO2 over a few weeks.

Any way to stop this?

Frustrating to have it sitting and hear the raccoons out at night, pop open a window to shoot at them and it goes -pffffft and the pellet goes about 20 feet. This after a new cartridge was installed a few weeks to a month before and shot a few times with great results.

Have you been putting a drop of Pellgun Oil on the top of every, or at least every other, cartridge?  If not, your seals have probably dried and hardened, allowing leakage over the time periods you mention.  You could try using Pellgun Oil in the future, although you may have to replace the seals and start over.

^^ Yes. Pelgun oil is borderline magic.  Many times just adding a few drops will rejuvenate leaky seals.
