What's better a 140 or c9 I was thinking about the c9 that rob showed but someone bought it already but I found another c9 with a scratched up stock but good seals and peep for 80 bucks and a 140 for 85. Which one do you guys think is better.
What is a 140s accuracy at 30 yards open sights? I know it depends on my eyes I think I have good eyes I have had no trouble with them and don't wear glasses.thanks
I know I'm pretty sure I'm getting a blue streak but just wondering since there cheaper.
The 140 is a great compact pumper. It's not a BS but it has it's place. I would say it's better at 20 to 25 yds where as I would stretch my streaks out to 40 or so. If your bent on going the 140 route, maybe try to find a 1400 because they are bit stronger (IMO). Still not a streak but they do "one up" the 140.

I just have to call bs on you I know that it's the initials of blue streak, but I think it's a poor choice for an acronym ( because we all known what bs means ) so why don't we just stick to streak, or dan anyway, the little 140/1400. isn't a bad looking little gun that would probably be pretty good for bird pesting in your barn, but still not a streak.

You turn one more guy into a Dan collector that means less rifles for us. I recant any of my previous posts on any thread. Buy new 392's let us deal with the older Dans and Benjis.Rob has a valid point.I thought that too but didn't want to be the first selfish one to point it out Call it what you want, but I like to increase my chances of hoarding Dans and Benjis as much as I can. I may never visit Butte Montana, Grafton North Dakota, or Vado New Mexico. If I do Id like there to be a few extra Dans and Benjis waiting to be bought by me.

Here's how it actually works: nice old 'dan shows up at a gun shop, pawn shop or whatever. No real interest in Sheridans in the area, so it sits there priced at $125. Or the seals are bad so it's under $100. Local airgunner sees it and is interested, but the AG forum he's a member of discourages him, so he buys a new PCP or springer instead. So along comes one of those guys with dollar signs in their eyes, whose favorite TV show is "American Pickers." This guy couldn't care less about that nice old Blue Streak, except that he knows it is worth money. So he buys it and puts it on one or more of the classifieds sites for $350, thereby helping to drive the prices up to the point that new guys who would really like to have one to shoot, can no longer afford one. Or, the same guy buys the one that needs new seals, strips it down and sells every little part on ebay for a combined total of $500+.
I don't see much discouragement from buying nice old Dans coming from this forum... unless you count sarcasm. Matter of fact, we strongly encourage buying them, bringing them back to life and enjoying them.
Single headshot/DRT kill on a nutria at 50 laser ranged yards with a 1964 Sheridan on 8 pumps and factory sights that are highlighted (orange rear, white front). Same quarry, same distance, same number of pumps with a Benjamin 397P-Nickel plated and another single headshot/DRT kill.25gr at 30+fpe doesn't kill 'em any deader than 12-14fpe! Shot placement is KING!
