I have a Crosman 1377. My goal is to be able to shoot rats in low light conditions. My plan is to replace the breech with a steel breech, add a weaver rail and install a red laser site.
Can some of you more seasoned pellet pistol owners help out with suggestions, tips and advice before I start spending money? Thanks,
Joe

yeah man i did extensive research for a project like this. if you want you can increase the strength a lot for a really low cost by stuffing the piston. works great, and adds a very nice amount of fps. also .22 or .177? i would do .22 but each their own. flat top piston is also an option. so this is what i would get for most bang for your buck, 1322 stuff the piston, or a flat top valve, buy a laser that works with a pressure switch(not very expensive) then steel breech, with the new rails. you can also, and probably should get a crosman stock for your project. let me know if u need help with anything else.

i just read that you already have a 1377 so you can keep it .177 if you like. but rats are some tough amigos, and the .22 might service you better.
