Louisiana - Squirrel - Oct. 5 - Feb. 28. Bag limit is 8 and possession is 16. We also have a Spring Season in May. I enjoy squirrels in a brown gravy over sticky rice. My son has taken that receipt to WV, and we usually hunt together there in October. My avatar was snapped from his back yard.

My avatar was shot out my front door, distance, 9 yards, measured with a 35 foot tape measure. I don't know how many squirrels met their maker on or under that feeder, Hold over is 1 mildot. If the door is not already ajar, I have a "sniper" spot at the corner of the house behind a tree that is a measured 25 yards, measured with a rangefinder, to the same feeder. Hold under is 1 mildot.

It is this
bird feeder
filled with black oil sunflower seeds. It is crack cocaine for squirrels. Well over half of the over 100 squirrels I have killed in my yard in 2 years were on or under this feeder.

My squirrels could care less about the bird feeders or any seed I put in them. That happens when you have 5 mature pecan trees in the back yard.

Rescue35 that is so true. The squirrels don't bother my black oil bird feeders but they sure do eat my pecans. I dislike those creatures immensely.

My Mother was born and grew up in Bradford, TN. I spent half my childhood there.
My bird feeders may be exclusively squirrel feeders soon. I have had a pair of Cooper's Hawks move in. They are decimating my bird population. I actually saw one take a pigeon out of a birdbath in my back yard. I was watching the pigeon splash when the hawk hit him.
