M-Rod Double Tactical coming in a few months
lloyd-ss:
This kit is in the works, but we are still playing catch-up with current open orders.
This is a Marauder rifle (M-Rod) , not a Marauder Pistol (P-Rod).
The pistol grip is from a P-Rod, BUT, and this is very important, it has a new, taller sear made from S-7 tool steel. This is very important because the wall thickness of the rifle tube is .095" and the wall thickness of the pistol tube is only .065. Therefore, when you put the pistol grip into the rifle tube, the sear doesn't stick up high enough to safely latch the hammer. The sear is 0.030" too short. Used in the rifle as-is with the standard short sear, it is an accident waiting to happen. This modified pistol grip from the Airgun Lab has a new taller custom sear that will work with the thick wall of the Marauder rifle.
The butt stock adapter was originally offered by RArmsInnovations, but will now be coming exclusively from the Airgun Lab. The adapter allows the buttstock to be shifted up and down, right and left, and rotated. This allows you to get a perfect sight picture when you bring the gun to your shoulder. No more having t bend and scrunch your neck to get the good picture in the scope.
There is also a folding adapter from the AirgunLab for the AR buttstock.
More to come soon. I will have one at the FunShoot.

looks good Lloyd, I will be following with interest.
does it still use the Mrod Trigger group ?
I've never played with a Prod, but the way I understand them, the Prods trigger is less desireable than the Mrod trigger. Is this correct ?
Seems I have read in the past that many Prod owners will replace their trigger group with a Mrod trigger ?
Or maybe I have that all messed up and am cornfuzzlededed ? ? ?
I seem to remember sometime in the past, seeing/reading of a similar pistol grip, (that was a one-off build), where a 1911 A1 type of grip had been fabbed. Is this similar to that ?
beginning to salivate.... ;) :D ;D
on edit-
OK, I think I was all cornfuzzlededed... it's the Disco guys that upgrade to the Mrod trigger right ?
Dang it !
I want a pistol grip, to go With, and be used With the Mrod trigger.
I guess the beast just does not exist ? :'(

Ron,
I think you are indeed a bit confused about the P-Rod trigger. The P-Rod trigger is the very nice pistol equivalent of the M-Rod rifle trigger. It is the same trigger group that is used on the 1720T and 1701 target pistols. It has a fully adjustable first and second stage and adjustable trigger force. It works very well. Personally, I haven't heard of anyone putting the M-Rod rifle trigger on the P-rod, but it could be done. But then you'd have a rifle and not a pistol :-\ . Maybe you are thinking of folks replacing their Discovery triggers with M-Rod triggers ??? ? That is a very popular swap that makes the Disco a real pleasure to shoot.
Take a look at the comparison of the Marauder pistol (P-Rod) grip trigger group :D and the old standard Crosman pistol trigger :( . The difference is night and day ;) .

OK,... The light just went on !
Sometimes it takes a while for this dummy to "get it",.... but like I mentioned, I've never played with a Prod, and did not realize the difference.
(yes,... I wrongly assumed the Prod was the same grip/trigger as the 13XX series).
OK, I feel better now,...
... Back to our regular programming ;) ;D
Thanks
