It was great to see old pals from across the country there. How lucky I am to be just a comparatively short 3 1/2 hour drive away.
For you old-gun fans, the stuff I saw for sale there included:
Diana model 58...one of the pre-war Holy Grail airguns
A gorgeous boxed Hammerli Master with walnut match grips and barrel sleeve
A BSF 54 Match underlever that looked like it was made last week
2 pre-war Haenel rifles
2 Barnett Spitfires (aka Webley Tracker)
3 vintage walnut-stocked HW 35's
The most perfect boxed Webley Senior I have ever seen
Ditto on an early Webley Premier
A minty FWB 300S Junior ("Mini")
A nice Diana 65
A nice Diana 60
3 Diana 35's
A whole table full of Hy-Score and steel Webley pistols
2 pre-war BSA underlevers in nice shape
A half dozen FWB 124's, ranging from standard models to custom-stocked and highly-tuned
An early Goudy-stocked R7
2 stunning Walther LGV's (1960's match rifle)
A Walther LG 53 match rifle with double-set triggers
More nice Sheridans than you can shake a stick at
At least a half-dozen Hakim underlevers, including one with gorgeous tiger-stripe wood
And those are just the things I remember off the top of my head...appealing to my narrow interests...from a one-day visit (I was only there Friday unfortunately). Many other collecting areas that fall outside of my tiny bubble of expertise were also well-represented--a few Benjamins, a lot of Crosmans, an outstanding number of cast-iron era BB guns, and much more.
Larry Hannusch brought his usual outstanding display, this time featuring three superb 19th-century pre-charged pneumatics from the same maker.
Having an area to shoot right out the back door is an OUTSTANDING feature of this show. We old-gun guys especially appreciate having a place to try things out, and also the excellent lighting in the main room.
You vintage-gun fans definitely need to put this show on your calendar!

I'm ready for the pictures. Sounds like a fun time and a lot of great guns.

I was there both days & really enjoyed myself. I really enjoyed the Field Target match on Saturday morning. I think that I have found my next disease!!LOL!! I'll definitely be back again next year. it was well worth the 4.5 hr. drive.
