Koreans guns are made for hunting for the most part, but a lot a red white and blues want plinking/ hunting my 2ct
I've been exchanging emails with a Mr. Harris Yoo, supposedly from SamYang about importing their Golden Saver Rifle as I would like one in .20, but he says " Refer to Golden Saver air rifle, we cann't supply our air rifle directly to you, because we have exclusive distributor in North America."So I imagine it's the distributor, and not SamYang that is the hang-up. This is only supposition on my part though.
Makes no sense at all. The US market is pretty big, enough for everybody, right? Here's the Korean site I Google translated: http://www.airrifle.co.kr/index-english.htmlSome not offered here.
That makes no sense. Call me crazy but it doesn't add up. From a business perspective, the manufacturer (exporter) would make no money in that arrangement as the distributor (importer) here in the States would in essence, not be buying and importing their guns. Either that or the distributor here in the states is indeed buying guns only to store them in their warehouses with no intent to distribute (sell). Again, that makes no business sense and is a money losing proposition. There has to be another explanation behind this. The Korean's are too savvy to be muzzled by a single distributor especially in such a large market as the US.
Rescue, Most distributor contracts are "performance contracts" meaning the distributor needs to meet predetermined sales numbers to keep their pricing and exclusivity. It wouldn't hurt to remind the manufacture that even though they have two distributors their products are still unavailable.Tom
