Part of the allure of Crosmans is how they interchange, the after market parts , and how an owner can build on them like Legos (or change them like Transformers). I LOVE “mutt” builds; basically captures the best part of the Crosman system. Can tell I prefer single shots over repeaters, but the adaptability of the Crosman system still manages to enthrall me....so simple, but effective. My last three “mutt” builds. For my Nephew, a .22. Started as a tanker (using a Boss valve and a QB79 tank block).Became an HPA. 14 foot pounds +100 shots per fill using just 800psi out put.Or5mm conversuion that started as a 12gr. Moved to a CO2 tanker. Moved to a HiPac (PCP) conversion. N0ot quite finished with it, needs a little more tuning/adjustment to be at its best.OrA .22 that started as a Basic 2260 but became a .177.. Did all the mods and ran it on 12gr. Then converted it to the HiPac system (PCP) along with a mystery .177 barrel that had been hanging around the shop. Making this my wife's gun.
