Depends what you main use will be. If you're shooting targets I'd get the .177 if you're planning on small gaming I'd go with the .22
I have a .177 and a .22 cal QB-78 Deluxe, both tuned by Mike Mellick, and they are fantastic rifles and a lot of fun. Archer also sells tune up supplies for them so you can coax a bit more fps out of them.

Jeff's right, it all depends on what you plan on shooting. The QB platform is a solid mature gun system and a modder's delight. Get one and I bet you will enjoy it. Of course, we like pictures. LOL

I have a gamo hunter sport. .177 already. So im leaning towards a .22. I have allot of gophers And ground squirels to hunt. Is the fps from the qb enough punch in. 22? What distance can I expect to get humane kills? I was thinking with it being a gas gun I can use heavier 177. Like over 10 grns and not damage my springer.

.22 is easily attain 700+ fps and can still get around 30 good shots with 2 carts, with tunes found on the web, don't cost you an arm and leg. Only problem will be this shooter is not for cold weather pesting and if you keep shooting it and get spoiled...you will be complaining on your gamo being harsh to use.

Honestly I'd go .177 for the flatter trajectory. If you hit a squirrel in the head it's going down

I had one from archer and it was a great shooter. Make sure you get the gold service with it so they check your gun out before they ship it

Get it. I assure you you'll love this rifle. I bought mine for Christmas from Archer. Also changed to an oversize bolt and got a tune kit for it. I shoot with one co2 cartridge with one empty in the tube. A real tack driver.I shoot it more than my Beeman GS700 (Norica Kronos).
