Have had a Chrony (4 or 5) since the '80s. First one was $50, I think. When first getting into shooting vintage pumpers ~2005 (had acquired several since ~2000) I decided to Chrony them one day. Clocked and recorded 6 shots each (to get a good average) at 4, 6 and 8 pumps. That's ~108 pumps on each of 9 rifles! After nearly 1000 pumps in one afternoon, my 50 something y/o shoulders exacted their revenge.
How many pumps for those numbers? I use my chrony all the time, I love it. Takes away the guessing and lets you see how your guns are performing.
Dang, Terry...You a beast!! My main problem is getting the time to shoot. Living in an community I have to wait for a good time. That's only when I'm pumping to max. Not sure how loud it is outside my shop, but it's loud in there. Next up will be my 65 Dan. Followed by the Sheridan/Crosman c9
Your dan should've been getting 650-660, on 8 pumps, with a 14.3gr. pellet.
I saw a chrony on another forum for $50 & jumped on it. Guy said that he shipped it, but I never got it. I asked for proof that he shipped it & he quit answering my e mails. I was lucky enough to get the $50 refunded back to my account !!!
