Need Marauder trigger help please

So my Marauder trigger broke at the first stage set screw. Crosman sent me a new one and I tried to put the second stage screw the same depth it was, but since the first stage screw was gone I had no idea where to start with it.
The gun seems to now be a long pull one stage trigger with no distinct stop between first and second stage and I can't seem to adjust it to where it was before. The way it is now, I can't really feel when the hammer is going to drop.
I have read the manual but what I'm doing isn't working. Since i have messed with both adjustments now i am completely lost. Can anyone give me a step by step on how to adjust the two screws to get it close to where it Wes stock? I had never adjusted it before it broke and was happy with the stock settings.
Help please!

Remove the 4 side plate screws ... while cover is OFF, you can very clearly see whats happening as screws are fiddled with
.
Dry firing is just fine as you tweek adjustment to your liking.
Once done replace cover, fine tune adjustments if required and your done

Turn the power adjuster out too so it barely wastes any air per shot during testing. That way you don't have to refill just from dry firing and can turn the power adjuster back in when you're finished.
Since you liked how it was when you got it then don't even mess with the 2nd screw that's in it, just turn the 1st screw in until it's tip almost reaches the trigger link but has a tiny gap. That will allow for you to feel some free space before reaching 2nd stage. You should be good to go.
EDIT: I just remembered that you didn't leave the 2nd screw alone so turn the 2nd screw in until the safety no longer holds it's place securely. Then turn the screw back around half a turn or so while moving the safety at the same time until you will feel the safety works as it should. Test fire it several times engaging and disengaging the safety to make sure it doesn't fire prematurely, and bump the gun several times too just to make sure it won't accidentally fire.
Once you have that sweet spot located then just insert the 1st screw until you have a little gap between it and the trigger link to give you a little free 1st stage then you're set.

Thanks for the help guys. I did get it sorted out. I didn't have the stage one screw in nearly far enough and so both setscrews were in contact with the sear (or whatever the part the trigger setscrews push on) so there was no first stage at all.

Good deal. Glad it wasn't much hassle for you in your case. Yep as the trigger is pulled the trigger's screws press against the trigger link which then moves the sear and releases the hammer. That mrod assy can be quite finicky. I have spent hours at a time adjusting it until I finally got it right. I have seen that most people adjust the safety where it pulls all the way back near the trigger but the hard part is getting the safety to stop perfectly a half inch or so away from the trigger as it comes from the factory where the safety pin rests in the catch channel of the safety and holds it firmly.
Maybe more so tricky when installed on the disco as in my case due to the slight difference in distance between it and the tube compared to the mrod. Even with the shim spacer added to equal that distance out on the disco it can still be quite a hassle to get it finally shooting just right where the sear is not pressed too hard against the hammer or not pressed hard enough against it and still have the safety working perfectly without the gun prematurely firing when the safety is pulled or when the gun is bumped.
