The Umarex NXG-APX has one major flaw:The roll pins are flanged on both ends so it is not possible to remove the roll pins with out damaging them and needing to replace them. This means that there is a good deal more work involved in removing the piston, pump linkage, and getting to the components inside of the tube, and reassembly after that would require new roll pins. So much for simple power mods , this rifle requires a bit more devotion to modify.

I cut slots in a drill bit for "e" clips and then cut the bit off. Just put the bit in dremel and held a hacksaw blade to it while spinning it.
just picked one up from wally world today for around 40 something.. ( am a sucker for cheap multi-pump pneumatics. Kind of reminds me of modernized 880... is the barrel rifled? I mean i looked down the barrel with mine and put a light in it and it looks rifled but not nearly as rifled as my other air guns....
