Strongly considering buying the eun jin samutra. I really want a lever action rifle. Only hang up is i use a hand pump which ive read doesnt work with this gun... Is it just a pain to pump all the way or am i missing something more important?

Caleb:
I just received a Sumatra 2500 yesterday. Am home sick form work but air gun mania knows know boundaries
.
The gun was already filled to 2200 psi. With my Hill Pump I filed it to 2900 psi. Shot it down to 2000 psi and filled it back to 2900. Due to the larger air volume in the Sumatra it takes a little more time, but with my Hill Pump it was not bad. However, as I was putting the Sumatra away I had the thought: "NO way that would have worked with my old Benjamin Pump".
I have only used a Hill and Benji pump, so depending upon the pump you own that the best I can answer.

Does it have a probe like the 909s? I can't use my AV G4 pump on my 909s because I can't get enough initial air to seal the probe.

Hi I think they use the same probe, I swapped mine out with foster fittings.
Makes filling a lot easier no grease no oring s to worry about.
Only fill issue I had was damaging the orings on the probe every now and then.

I have a benjamin pump. What is the difference between that and the hill pump?

Hi
I have never used a benjiman pump, but all I can see for diffences are hill has a moisture trap and supposedly easier to rebuild.
With any pump just take your time and take breaks between pumping sessions.

I use my Hill pump to fill up my Sumatra Carbine all the time. And I have the stock probe. Works fine.

Hi Caleb
The stock probe should work fine. The primary reason I switched to foster is I am getting another pcp and wanted to use the same set up for all of them.
Just wanted to clarify what my reasoning was

The Hill is designed to pump to 3000 psi much easier than the Benji pump. Also the Hill moves more air.

I have watched the hill&benji side by side.hill is faster/easier,by how much is the question, somewhere around 1/4,some might be more liberal and say 1/3
