Where are the Remingtons on the Crosman website?

Just saw this on the Crosman Forum. It seems that Crosman has not renewed it's licensing agreement with Remington (according to the thread over there). There are no Remington NPSS rifles listed on the Crosman site now. Sure hope that they are just in limbo and not discontinued. Anyone have more info?

That would be correct Red. I believe Remington chose not to renew the agreement. I think it may just be on the NPSS though from my talks with folks at both PA. From what I can tell the Remington Vantage will still be in production but who knows. The NPSS is done for now though unless Crosman decides to bring it back under its original banner.

I noticed very few walmarts with Remington Airmasters on the shelves, must be a recall, and I noticed Crosman has the quest back up for sale, my guess is just until the Vantages they had in the factory are gone.

Sure hope they continue to produce the NPSS. Really wanted one of those low powered ,22 special models they offered the first year but waited too long. The NPSS is built to higher quality standards than the Chinese guns. Did they simply not sell or were the cheaper guns just too successful? Only the .177 NPSS in camo (Remington branded) is listed on PA at the moment.

Bass Pro Shops has the .177 NPSS Remington's on sale for $119 in store flier I got yesterday. Starts Aug 1st.
You have to go to their site pick the store nearest you and then see the flier. They're not on line.

Thanks. I have an original Crosman in .177 and thought a .22 might be nice. I know they make oodles of those in the Titan, Trail, etc, but like the made in USA model. You should post that sale in the Bargain Gate, BTW. I am sure folks will jump on it, especially since they are nicer than a Chinese gun and cheaper, too.

I'm selling my .22 remington NPSS, black stock, like new. This was my first airgun purchase, I'm 80 years old and can't get used to the breakbarrel. I want to get a rws 850. I've put about 5 tins of cphp thru the npss and I'm happy with everything about it except the breakbarrel part. Email me if you might be interested, Ed

It makes me wonder about parts for the NPSS. I have both 177 and 22...bought 'em right after they started marketing 'em. The 22 had problems staying in battery at first. It would drop open if you hit the bottom of the forestock too hard after cocking. A stronger spring behind the chisel fixed that and kept it closed. It looked as though one of the breech seals was beginning to wear so I wrote Crosman and they sent me 2 replacements. I was wrong however and didn't need 'em. Still have them somewhere. They were and are good rifles...I keep them zeroed in at 10 meters and still shoot 'em regularly. They're my starling/grackle rifles.
