get the barrel band unless you can get a full length shroud that goes all the way to the breech, that way the barrel rests on the pump tube, i think you can accomplish this by getting an extra tall brass breech. Air strippers are useless on these guns as there is no recoil, plus not only is a shroud functional, but it looks awesome too, and also get the wire stock that has the built in power adjuster, and while your at it get the power hammer spring so your valve will release all the air if you plan on pumping more than 10 times......

madkoifish... yes crosman barrel cut from 24 inch blank..may get alittle longer though maybe 16 inch keep with even numbers..as far as target crown still lookin for someone who will do one. not really sure they make a difference but if i find someone who will cut and mod the barrel will try out a target crown jjpeters4... for my limited knowledge if i use a power adjuster and OEM spring it will dump all air at 15+ pumps or no power adjuster then use a heavier hammer spring to dump all air for 15+ pumps... as far as air stripper i was thinkin along the lines of improved accuracy...has nothing to do w/ recoil
Thanks all....tezzfla...oh yes lookin over my mod list forgot the scope...going w/ a bug buster guess that's number 11

@ tezzfla, ac customs recomended that i get the hammer spring if pumping past 10 pumps, i also have his wire stock with built in power adjuster, very very quality stuff, the hammer spring is only $7 so why not? I'll have to agree that your theory on that makes sense tho! To test out if you need the spring, pump your gun 15+ times and shoot, load another pellet in but dont pump, pull the trigger, if it has enough air in the valve to shoot the pellet a second time without pumping.....you need that power-hammer spring.........The bugbuster is a perfect scope for my gun, yes it has short eye relief but i love that scope! When you start modding your gun to be more powerfull and you dont put a shroud on it, it will be the loudest airgun you ever heard in your life, with the shroud your neighbors wont hear it nor will your prey.....trust me......if you dont believe me look on youtube, theres a vid of a guy with a modded 13xx without a shroud and its very very loud. I have a completely modded out 1322 with a 20" barrel and full shroud, and the darn thing is more accurate than me.....Well however you build your gun is up to you, thats the fun of it right? I know in the end you can't go wrong building your gun and your gonna have lots of fun with it! I haven't shot my npxl in months because my 1322 carbine is so fun to shoot!

Ah I read it as your getting it at that length with the crown from crosman
Like it was some part for the custom shop guns or something.
And yeah these are worth scoping. I can stack pellets @10yards with cheapo wallyworld CPHP, only thing I do is wash the things. Short eye relief I thought was a issue but with the centerpoint on my gun the eye relif is almost too long. It is about .5 to 1 in longer than the bug.

hmmm posted a reply guess it didnt work?? will post again hope it doesnt double post and make me look stupid.. jjpeters4 i do agree bout hammer spring and will get one also and try both routes and thanks about noise level warning didnt think it would be all that loud but checked as you suggested and now i have a real reason to buy the full shroud..heehhe...madkoifish... i had followed your thread on scope choices the main reason i was going with the bug buster was it's small size but i have same concerns as you..eye relief and mill dot size..and since the center point is only .5 to 1 inch longer i too will go that route... THANKS guys for your help.... tezzfla
