New Hatsan Quattro Trigger?
«

What is this part I found when cleaning my Hatsan 85 trigger. It is not in any of my earlier quattro's. I don't think it helps the trigger performance any.

Atomat,
Everyone that has a (USA) Hatsan 95 knows this baby, northwest of the trigger, to be the Quattro's appendix!! It's pretty useless and seems to be evolution in reverse.
On a more serious note, however, it doesn't seem to do much except hold a very wimpy spring to give the trigger some back pressure and help keep trigger assembly more stable?
All my 95's have it and my 135 doesn't. It seems that most European Hatsan's do not have the new appendage.
Sorry, not much help.

Ok so I took the appendix out, cut two coils from the stock trigger spring (the one at the rear of the trigger) and polished all contact surfaces with 400 grit and then a dremel and rouge. It was worth it, the trigger is quite good now. I turned the front spring all the way in and adjusted the second screw an eighth of a turn at a time, starting a 3/4 turn out. Careful when adjusting the middle screw 1/8 turn can make a big difference, you can accidentally make the trigger pull zero.

Atomant,
Did the spring you replaced loop around the two upper, sire pieces (stretching) or was it the spring at the rear, bottom of the trigger assembly (compression) that is adjusted by the (rear) trigger grub screw?
Thanks
