Utg leapers has held up time for thousands of shots on my sniper.
I had a leapers utg 3-9x40 ao on a hatsan 125, the older models with the massive steel top hat.The scope outlasted the gun.
the First scope 4x16x40 center point. But I did use the shock absorber on second scope Same scope over 750 shots still working like a dream come true. the first scope windage adjustmen keep changing to a point i could not adjust any more like in 3 weeks. I did not use the scope shock on the back of the scope with that one. I return exchanged the scope and now second scope so far so good. keep on target thru lots of shooting. 135 Hatsan .22
Recently ordered a 125 sniper .22 springer version, and I keep reading about scopes getting ruined on these guns (And the 135's) because of the power. Are there any success stories out there? I really like using a scope. I will try using the one that came from the factory but I heard its not very good, so I'll likely wind up replacing it. As a side note my rifle will be getting a full tune, so hopefully that will help a bit by smoothing it out.

And as far as using open sights, is that something I can still do with the wmart CP? I'd really like to be able to if possible...I'm guessing it all depends on the mount...
,,,Springerforever, thanks for the great and thorough feedback....and glad to here your brothers wmart cp is holding up nicely so far. I still might just go that route...at least as my first attempt lol. How is the optic quality by the way ?
...But ... they can still fail. Especially on a super magnum. My UTG 4-16x56 did just that on my Hatsan Torpedo 155 .22. I went to great pains to select the right amount of compensation using a UTG mount. 1st trying a 10" which wasn't enuf (putting up the gun after less than 10 shots) & then a 17" which was about right. Still failed.Ditto for a used CenterPoint 4-16x40 that came on a used Hatsan Sniper 125 .25 that I received this past Saturday. I wasn't responsible for that one tho. Believe that it had been 'abused' with the wrong mount. It came mounted to a 1-pc mount but it was still the wrong mount. Wasted time & pellets determing that it wasn't the rifle or me that was shotgunning the target. Having just gone thru the same thing but on a more extended scale owing to my inexperience it was quite aggravating to have yet another scope failure. But the same scope bought new at Wally world about a month ago is doing just fine on my brother's RWS 48 .177 which was Vortek'ed about a week ago & picked up ~100FPS in the process. Original spring turned out to be broken.I've now switched to the Hawke 6-24x44 which is relatively reasonably priced, not too long & relatively light weight. Got one on my RWS 56TH. And I've got another one on order for my new-to-me air rammed Hatsan Sniper 125 .25. Hopefully I'll have better luck with them. If not, I'll just go back to open sights. The 56TH will become a safe queen & I'll switch to my RWS 54 instead.Good luck with your scope selection.
That not worthy to hear about the CP scope but I've come to accept that scope failures are just a way of life with magnum AR's unless you are spending big bucks. At least with the walmart CP scope you have 90 days to return it to the store and then a lifetime warranty beyond that so you are covered if/when the failure occurs. Thats why I'm going to at least give that scope a shot. And if I go thru a couple of them then I will reassess and likely try a new scope or perhaps just a new mount.
