In my talk with the man himself he said 12 ftlbs can be very difficult to get it just right and should not be taken on with out some experiences working on air gun.Of course he was taking UK rules about what is allowed in UK with out breaking the law.And at the same time he said a FAC full power 30lbs+ is very straight forward and will work very well with little work be size just dropping Lane regulator in and drilling vent hole in air tank. Also said small improvements can be had with playing with hammer spring and work on the hammer its self.

Sounds like a project I would like to start this winter. The rear power adjuster is incorporated with the regulator?
Here is a link with pics and posts to my Disco Double tube and regulator...http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=76493.msg728045#msg728045William
I have a Regulator from Milo74 in my Double tube Disco and it is set for 1800 PSI and I have had no problem with it at all. He can make you one to fit whatever you need it for. The price was very reasonable. Below is some pics of the regulator he made for me as well as the tubing that I made to use for a plenum, you must have plenum or it will not work very well, it also needs a breather hole drilled into the tube. He will give you full instructions with it! He can set the regulator to the PSI you need, so you need to test your gun over a chronograph and see what PSI matches your FPE that you want it set at.William

I've got a S500 and would like to reg it also.Jimmy
Thanks for the info guys, I need to research the RL a little more and find out if the TP and barrel port are big enough on a FAC model without drilling out. I believe a plenum spacer comes with the regulator. Robert, I'll sacrifice a little efficiency for hassle free shot consistency, thanks for the head up though.Jimmy
Hopefully with the gun being FAC the factory TP and barrel port will be large enough and not need modding. Still looking for information on that. I might try calling Robert Lane tomorrow. Thanks againjimmy
