a couple of groups from 40 yards. It took me a little while to get in the groove. It was a little hot and humid.
Both of these are from 40 yards and a full magazine of 10 each. Shooting JSB 18.1 at 870 fps or 30.5 FPE.
The second had a flier which it was most likely me.

Fantastic build Dan!
I am following as I plan to do very similar things to mine.
I am going to try to start with a high pressure reg. on the bottle, so maybe 1800-2000.
Same sized plenum(5.5-6")
I think there are some gains to be made to machine the bolt flaring parabolic into the probe, make the probe throat thinner and end in a tear shape where it pushes the pellet.
Anyway, cant wait for updates.

Tom,
Thank you. I have this other post run.
http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=52276.msg504096#msg504096
I've been working on the bribe and had some gains in power.
this are the numbers I'm getting.
High: 877 (31 FPE)
Low: 871 (30.5 FPE)
Ave: 873.6 (30.7 FPE)
SD: 1.58
Extreme Spread: 6 FPS or 0.69%
Shots: 60
It is so nice that I don't want to touch it.

I had to make a new Transfer port to be able seal it properly to the barrel and valve do to the porting.
this is my best group I've shot with it so far.
40 yards - Group of 5 - light wind - about 74 degrees
And from center to center.
I'm happy as I could be.

I decided I wanted to add a shroud band/bottle band Just to stabilize the barrel a little. more. The band that came with the kit is about 4 in from the breech.
I used some high density PVP foam I had laying around and with the drill press and boring bits I made the openings for the shroud. I did not make the bottle opening go all the way around the bottle.
I ordered some delrin to make one that is a little more solid.
For the results, it seams to have helped. I shot about 5 groups of 5 and the average group seamed tighter.
Then I went and shot a tree at roughly 67 yards. I'm basing the distance on my focus on the scope and the distance given by Chairgun at 4 mil down. The results where very good. This is a group of 5 with one flyer Which It might of been me because the rest were dead on. I apologize for the bad picture. It is hard to take pictures through the scope. This shots where done 4 mil down at 24x magnification.
Bottom circle are 4 shots and then top/left circle is 1 shot.

I received the 1/2 in 6x6 delrin sheet and made the new Shroud/bottle band. There are no set screws it stays on by friction. I will see if I eventually need some set screws.
Some pictures:
The two openning have been bored out. One is 2 in and other one is 1 in
Here are of the final product:
Here it is installed:

Thank you Ezman. I really appreciate your words.
Somewhere along the line this Gun became priceless. Being my first PCP and all the mods I have done to it, I don't think I could ever sell it. I know, for sure, I would never get the money back that I have invested, not to mention the time.
But anyone is always welcome to shoot it. I have one more part to complete the setup which is a custom RVA which will allow me to add a longer spring.

That's pride and I can relate. THAT'S why I have such a herd of airguns. Some were done by me and some were done by Gene. I would not even consider parting with some of my babies.
Like you, anyone is welcome to shoot mine whenever the chance is there. My grandson will inherit most of mine.

Here are my latest number after some more modifications to my valve and regulated pressure.
Reg Pressure: 1800 psi

Low Speed 880.00
Extreme Spread 9 (1.02%)
Average Speed 885.23
Standard Deviation 3.03 (0.34%)
Accuracy is the same as before.
My spread and SD when up a little but that is no problem. I think I might get a little tighter once the new spring settles in.
The max power I'm getting with the current set up is 950 fps or 36 FPS. A heavier spring might give me more power but I'm not really interested in that.
I did try two inexpensive chinese Regulators. One was 1.8K the other 2.2K (this one was suppose to be 2K) I was not impressed with them. They look just like the ones sold here but they don't seam to regulated as well as the JDS airman regulators. The spread was on the 20 fps or more which I did not like. At least I was able to figure out the 1.8K was a good regulated pressure for me. I was able to increase my efficiency from 0.9 to 1.04 which means I get the same shot count (60) with as with the 1.6K regulated pressure.
Other things I notice. the gun is quieter at 1.8K. Most likely because I'm using less air.

Thank you guys.
The barrel is a crosman barrel I got from Mellon air. I have though many times to replace the barrel with a BSA but this barrel shoots amazing so why bother. I figure I could save the money for another project...Like an mrod .25.
The pellets used is JSB 18.1s. I use this pellet exclusively because it shots the best. I gain about 1 to 2 FPE with heavier pellets but they don't group as well.
