Zeroing in at 10 Yards

Hi Folks,
I am new to airguns but not to shooting. I am also somewhat new to using scopes. I have mainly always used open sights. My question is do you think that setting my zero at 10 yards would be ok for doing some squirrel hunting ? I have a max range of 20 yards that I can sight in in my backyard but at 20 yards I am practically lying prone in the neighbors yard which makes me feel a little uncomfortable. At 10 yards I feel like I have much more privacy and would prefer to sight in at that distance. I have been reading and discovered that the pellet actually crosses the zero point twice. If I zero in at 10 yards how far out would my next zero or POI be ? Any rough idea how many mildots of holdover I might need to shoot beyond that second zero yardage ? I imagine most of my hunting shots will be between 10-40 yards with an occasional 50 yard shot. I am shooting a Benjamin Trail NP with .22 14.3g Crosman Premier Hollow Points. Thanks for your help

I would sight in 1/2 in low at 10 yds.,that should put you poi at 20 yd. and hold dead on a squirrel head out too 33 yd. and then hold about 1/2 in high from 35 to 40 yds. But,when you get out confirm it first before hunting.
