The Wages of Sin is.....

Today I had to do one of my least favorite things-go to the dentist! After that was all said and done it wasn't that bad!
When I got back home I decided to use the CP scope from the RWS 36 and put it on my Beeman 1051. I had some brand new one-pieced mounts to use so I was good to go. After I played with it for awhile, I think the CP scope is really sensitive to the AO adjustment, so I decided to give it another try.
This is when I first got it with the original scope.
My sister came by and distracted me, but I eventually got everything put together. I had a little fright as the POI wandered a bit, but I hadn't tightened the scope mounts all the way down; whew!
My wife came around the house with a new target-a roofing sign! I love those things since they stick in the ground so easily. She said, "what happened to the bird feeders?". Honestly I hadn't looked over in that direction, but three out of the four were on the ground! The suet feeder was destroyed, the little feeder's bottom was missing, and the cylinder-like feeder was broken and on the ground! Holy Cow!
I wasn't even gone two hours and the little beggars went on a rampage! Not much to do about it now.
Not much to do but put that one in the trash.
They must have got on top of it and broke the tab.
Where did the bottom go?
So I went back to shooting the Beeman with its new mounts and CP scope. I was getting some great groups at 20 yards! Not bad for a $75 airgun! It is really powerful and accurate. Plus it has a nice balance that makes it easy to shoot offhand; not as front heavy as the RWS rifles.
So I'm zeroing the rifle at the 20 yard target. I was sitting on my shooting stool, taking shot after shot with some .177 CPHPs when I heard something rattle above me. Sure enough the sinner and culprit returned to the scene of the crime!
We can't have that can we?
I raised the recently sighted in Beeman and let fly with a CPHP. It didn't make the traditional "THWACK" but the THUD. That usually means I hit too far back. So I quickly invoked Rule #2 and put another one into him. One of the two hit him in the head and down he came. Take that sinner-now you will be supper!
The scene of the crime
He fell right at the bottom of the fence a scant 10 yards from where I was sitting.
More evidence-the suet feeder
That was the first game taken with the Beeman 1051. It is an AR 1000 variant and mine is EXCELLENT!

Good shooting buddy. I'm loving that you're getting so much critter practice lately, every time I log on I immediately look to see what else you've shot
Keep whacken em Randy. I can't hunt small game again until November 1st so I have to "live" through your hunts

Nice shooting Randy! Good to see you have so many squirrels. You remind me of me a few years back when they were everywhere on my property and I was able to get 2 or more at a time. I am glad we don't have a Spring season here though, because I would have run out of BT's much sooner

In a state that is mostly wooded I seriously doubt I will run out of targets! In the late fall I spared some, but they are like coyotes in that unless you get rid of 75% or more per year, they will actually stay at the same level!
Jeff, I didn't hunt squirrels at ALL last spring! I was too fixated on hunting coyotes with the PB. The REASON I got into coyote hunting is that it is year around. To waste a viable season like spring turkey or spring squirrel is almost silly. (BTW my friend Jake JUST shot a 36+ pound coyote with his 22-250 this week!)
Out of FOUR feeders only one is operational! I'll have to make a trip to the Dollar General store for some more feeders and some more black sunflower seed I guess. Honestly, I enjoy the birds in the feeders. I bought the kiddos some binoculars so we could look to find interesting birds. They like finding new ones, but in the last month there have been TONS of squirrels! I actually shot towards some one day before the season to try and scare them off!
