NOOB question!!! When you purchase a PCP does the fill tank come with it?
If not what kinda cost will be added to the total price of the gun??
Thanks, Carl

I've not seen a pcp gun for sale with a tank on the vendor sites I frequent.
I did, however, just receive an air venturi 4500psi tank for my marauder for about $300. It did include the fill valve with foster fitting. I like it much much better than pumping!

The Benjamin Marauder .25 has been on my list for the last month but it is hard to get a price that will put me in the field shooting pellets. Do I need a special tank? Can I use my air compressor as long as I have the right fittings?? Will the hand pump work and is it worth the time??
Thanks, Carl
Thanks wimpanzee! Is that about the average price of a tank?

This should help.

Your standard compressor will not work. You need to get up to 3000psi for the marauder or at least 2500psi. If I was getting a new tank for a marauder I would not get a tank that holds less than 4500psi. Many hand pump marauders but I would not. That is a lot of work.

For what it's worth I have a .22 Marauder and don't mind hand pumping. It's a slow and easy kind of process. Mostly a body weight vs pump resistance. Usually takes me about 15 mins to refill to 3000psi.
Most here would probably recommend a Hill pump if you go that route but the other's work as well but you may spend some additional time and $ on maintenance. If you search around there are some here who have to my understanding been able to enhance the hand pump output with a compressor but I haven't tried this….yet….
Keep an eye on the classifieds here. Marauders and pumps appear fairly often.
