Vantage is a good rifle. I don't have the nitro piston, just the spring...didn't even know they made an NP version. The out-of-the-box trigger is pretty creepy, but with a little work and getting used to it, I shoot about 1-5/8" 20 yard groups, offhand, on a good day. I tuned mine a little and liked that the spring guides and top hat are steel. Pretty good rifles and hard hitters.-Rob
I loved mine too but I had to take it back today after 3 weeks. It was driving tacks. Had it to where less than dime groups were the norm at 30 ft. Then something went ahooie and the was 1.5 to 2" difference between shots. I think either the seal blew or the piston tanked. It was a new gun and I wasn't going to fool with it. Illinois really makes it a pain. You can't exchange it straight up. You have to go through the whole paper work and waiting period all over and with a 50 mile round trip it just got to be too much so I got the money back.I hope all the best for yours. I really enjoyed mine when it was working right.

Hmm, sad to hear that about your rifle. I still enjoy my 1200 even though its still breaking in after a home tune. But yeah their very accurate once you figure out the artillery hold.
Thats the only rifle I ever took apart so I wouldn't know how it compares to others. It seemed pretty simple and straight forward to me.
