I really like that 30 conversion and wanted to do it but just went regulated for a normal 25fpe tune. Who knows, maybe one day I will get another gun.I did run some numbers in my regulator tuning spreadsheet with your numbers though. I wanted to see if you can get 20 or more shots (theoretically of-course). There's a good chance that you can get between 20 to 23 shots from 3200psi to 1900psi at 70FPE or 840/850 fps. Not sure what would happen with the ES but, sure would be pretty neat to see you pull it off.
Dairyboy, I like the .30 cal Mrod. and am thinking about doing it. lots of questions if you don't mind, or anyone that can help. You mention .25 slugs, do they shoot from the .30? which ammoThe conversion is from Mountain air?How is the long range accuracy 100 yard, if you gone that distance.Does the shroud and baffles work to reduce the noise?I have an SSG in my .25 will that help or hurt? different springs or hammer needed?I see a few different valves on the market now, which do you have and what tp size is needed.Sorry for all the questions but would like to know as much as possible before I jump into this. Thanks
Great deal. Now where's the shot string ? let's see it.You know, It's simple math with the spread sheet. I have shared it already here in my efficiency post. I know some other fellows have a more advanced spreadsheet but don' share it besides with a small group. Too bad.I like to share as much as I can here on GTA. It's what makes us better. It's completely amazing too me that just by building that spreadsheet and doing some real world tuning, that you can actually compete or exceed a regulated tune by a professional for a long time in just one try. Go fish.
