My new Crosman Fury CF1K77X is not same as my new Phantom CS1K77A. Except both are 0.177 cal 1000 fps "springers". The Fury is made in China whereas Phantom is made in USA (with "foreign components"). The Fury has a nicer blued finish. The Fury stock is longer than Phantom with much smaller cutout for mechanically different cocking lever. The Fury is bigger and seems twice as heavy as Phantom but weighs only about 1 pound more (without scope). The Fury penetrates a hardwood block 7.5 mm whereas Phantom penetrates same block only 5 mm (both back of skirt). (By comparison my new 0.177 cal 600 fps Crosman Pumpmaster Classic 1377C (with 8 pumps) penetrates same block zero, leaving a barely noticeable dent.) The Fury has no iron sights and has muzzle brake which seems to do nothing to reduce recoil that I can tell. The Fury box shows maximum game size "Varmint Raccoon" icon wheres Phantom box shows "Small Game Rabbit" icon. With 50% more penetration by Fury, that is believable. Thus, despite similar appearances, these 2 guns are different. (Have photos of all this.) Hope this adds to clarification (or confusion). Thanks for neat cleaning tips here guys.
